The stage lights show them all. From the underlying efforts of hardwork to the sacrifices. There's no hiding from them. The stage lights shows nothing but truth.
There's an irony to the situation i am currently in. When i eat something that taste great, i feel like shit. When i eat something that taste like shit i feel great. This reminds me and put me back to track whenever i stray that this life that i have chosen is hard to swallow(accept) and blantant. But the outcomes - pain and suffering alike leads to something even greater.
When i first started lifting i hated to be stereotyped as a bodybuilder. Dont get me wrong- i love the status. But living up to is of a different matter altogether. I didnt felt like i deserved it. There was something about the pressure that is put upon that i detest against. Well you see.. We are role models of some kind. When the word bodybuilders are being mentioned, we picture crazy ass dieting, heavy weights and montrous proportions. After all the definition of bodybuilding is the practice of developing the muscles of the body through weightlifting and diet. Living up to it? Damn.. it gives you the greys in your early twenties.. Just for the record, You wouldnt see our ass near any arcade or greased burger shop.
This status is earned not given. Just like respect. Want to be defined as a bodybuilder? You eat sleep train and breathe like one. Its all about the details. Yeah that means balls-to-the-wall training, eating unpalatable food and unnaturally detailed routines which you follow religiously. You eat on time, you sleep on time, you train on time.
When others would call it a day and start setting their alarm clocks here i will be - setting my pride. When others hit the snooze - ill be hitting my pride. You see.. In this game its either you go all out for it or not at all.. Stay ahead of your game or get trampled upon.
