Alright.. So i promised to get my blog updated so here it goes.
Its the break of the semester.. Unlike others, this break is dedicated to centrailize my focus on improving desired resolutions. Yet i have my pals rushing to the nearest mall to get the availible jobs. You name it.. starbucks.. addidas. Yet after a few months, their complaining how broke they are. Cant blame to the fact that they spent hundreds on their hair with designer shoes and t-shirts, hooking up with hot chicks. Like i said before, Nothings free in here. Its something ill leave without.
The gym. In here its more then what you see. Its more then the untouched cold iron that you touch, more than the oversized freaks that you see, more than the smell of sweat and more than the sounds of exasperation. In here its more then life. It is a place where dreams are being forged and carved. It is a place where hardwork will never be left unoticed, where the ignorant are being ignored and frowned upon, where preconceived limitations are being broken, limits being pushed and restrains are being broken. There's nowhere closer to heaven.
"In the outside world, you might be called a god or a total bastard. In here, the iron kicks you the real deal." - adapted by henry rollins.
Its so fucking true. You might be a cat. Stealing and cheating but when you're in here and you cant meet you're expectations, blame the hour of sleep that you missed or the slice of chicken breast you didnt swallow. If you cant take the heat then get the fuck out. Stop wasting your time because the iron will kick you the real deal. It tells you whether you are pathetic or a true warrior. The truth hurts. It never lies. Friends may come and go but the iron will always be there. 200 pounds will always be 200 pounds.
A single dumbell have forged many dreams and shaped many individuals who dares to approach it. I readily have people coming up to me, people readily aknowledging me when i step in here, readily having people staring at me when i start my set. But they dont see me. Beneath this mindless exterior is the interior forged from hardwork and dedication. The desire to readily improve is burning within me. Beneath that half hearted acknowledgement is a sworn warrior. One who believes that failure is never fatal. I have no time to talk. There's too much work to be done, too much expectations to live up to. Jingle bells might be around the corner to entertain but the clanging weights at the gym echoes within. Cant you hear it?
