So here it is. Something i'd like to share. I might not have the best of genetics or a body of a IFBB pro but please bear with me. This is the result of my hardwork, dedication and sacrifices. So what you see is what you get. Im not on the juice but who cares when im looking like that right? Anyway here it is. A year and a month of training.341 days out from the show. 17 years of age. 5ft9 and 88-89 kg.

I had many enquiries so here it is.I've been following this routine for a week and so far ive been making great gains with a change of protein source to beef and the start of the cycle of my M-STAK from Universal Nutrition.

So here's my blueprint in training on setting the distance

Monday- Chest, shoulders, biceps and abs
Tuesday- Quads, hams, calves, back and abs
Wednesday- Chest, back and abs
Thursday-Shoulder, triceps, biceps, abs and cardio
Friday - Quads, hams, calves, triceps and abs
Saturday- Cardio
Sunday- Off

Hitting each bodypart 2 times a week with fatigue training so lets see how it goes.

Lately, ive been cold and stale. Cant blame it. The closer it gets to judgement day, the more im worried that it will all fall apart. I can feel the pressure seeping into my veins from the expectations that i am putting upon myself. Tomorrow's will only sway me deeper. I've learnt to put my emotions aside. I do not want to celebrate birthdays. I do not want to go for a walk, i do not need to read a book. I might have forgotten the meaning of fun, happines, love and satisfaction altogether but I know the meaning of hunger, pain and desire well enough by now. Thats all i ever need to keep me fueled for the time to come.

I might not be posting for a while after this. Reason? I have lagging parts and expectations to meet. I have to pass the points where i had fell short. When you're in my line everything matters. Till then.. Wish me all the best. Its gona be ugly.

Peace out. Eat right and train hard.

Strength and honour.

Keep your cards to your chest. Let others underestimate you. Never play your cards out open.Because when the time comes to layout your cards on the table, lay the royal flush.

Let others underestimate you. Because when they underestimate you, that's when they start becoming complacent and oblivious to your potential. When the time is right, come right up and overlay them and their perceptions.

It all started at the age of 16, i was looking for freedom, i wanted to have the end say in whatever i did and i would die trying. I wanted a sense of identity. Slowly but surely, i got tied down to this subtle chains of restrains held together by my philopsophies of life and goals. Look closely and realise that personally designed philopsophies determined how hard we dieted, took and trained and ultimately looked. This is my call for redemption. Blue prints for redemption they call it.

I learned things the hard way. I couldnt progress unless i put in the sole effort to improve. Whatever i wanted, i busted my ass out for it. I wanted to be bigger? I ate more and lifted heavier. I wanted to be leaner and dryer? I increased cardio, and denied myself from carbohydrates and increased the reps. What?! My calves aint growing? I'll dump the heavy sets and focus on primary form. Its like a balance. What you see is what you get. If you want something bad enough, you'll know how actions are louder then words. This is the sport where arrogance and low life talks will get you nowhere.

Apparently, Some people think that i am too hardcore. That i push myself too hard. They asked me why I eat tasteless shit and trained so hard. Wasnt i too tired after school? They said that i shouldnt be too big because by doing that, i would scaring away the girls and that i'll probabbly be flabby when i grow older if i were to stopped. They think that Im probabbly wasting my time and that its time I did something more realistical. They said i sacrifised too much for this shit. I pose this back to you. Who the fuck are you to judge me? I dont give a shit on what others say because they are full of shit and just because they cant do it doesnt mean that i cant. I dont want to have to listen to their crap.I owe this to nothing and no one. You dont go through what i did. You didnt grew up from where i did. You dont know the words dedication, commitment and sacrifise the way i do. Those words define me. I live by them everyday. Every move i make, every breather are being composed to the way i perceive these very words. So now you think you know me? Think again.

I was posed a question the other day. Did i loved myself? It took me a while to answer that in a crowd of 30 people. I took a deep breath, look forward and proudly said yes. They asked me if i was a narcissist. Again i took another deep breath and i said yes. I wouldnt lie to myself. For all i lived for, the long intense workouts, tasteless meals and cardio. Damn. I wouldnt push myself they way i did all this time if i didnt loved myself.

When you do something, do it once and do it right. There's no time to be looking back now. You take 100% responsibily for your results. Only losers make excuses, blame others or complain. Your choices shape you and your future. Make empowering choices only. Friends and relationships have to be put on hold right now. No time for that. Holidays to de-stress? Man im far out from that. The only sign if relief that ill be showing is when i step down from that stage with the gold in my hand and i wouldnt rest until i do.

What's that? Your workout was great? Who the fuck cares? This sport is about consistency.

I did a self reflection the other day. I wasnt going to be push to my limits if i took every day that passed me by lightly and hope to achieve something great. It'll take something more than a routine to push myself. It requires motivation from within. I believed that a person who is being correctly motivated can achieve beyong the capabilies of one who isnt. Anyone can be eating the way that i do. Anyone can go to the gym 5 times a week. It isnt about doing different things. It's about doing things differently. Remember that.

With this strict no nonsense shit lives that we live. With all those ignorant people who you'd want to knock out cold with a 45 pound plate, sometimes, you meet great people. They dont necessary have to know why to you do what you do. But they give you what you want to hear and first of all they aint ignorant. An example would be my fren whose identity cannot be exposed due to personal reasons. anyway this was how it went after anonymous read my blog.

The pressure. The heat.

I broke down. I cried for the first time in a year. I cant fucking take the pressure. As much as i want to keep this blog alive, im paying the price. The commitment, the dedication , the sacrifises. Its all so fucking real.

Tears rolled down my cheeks and i tore up the pictures and packed the gifts into the trash bag. All the years of hardwork we put together to make it work went down the drain in a matter of few mistakes. Not a day passed me by without a thought of you at the back of my head even until this day. At times it fueled me. At times it broke me. I cant say i've accomplished much but i believe this as a point of failure of no return. To whomever said failure was never fatal. This time its real. There's no turning back time to make things right. If i could turn back time to make things right i would. But its too late for that. Sometimes, second chances are unpreachable. The days where love used to live. It'll never happen again. At least I wont make it happen. There's a barrier in my heart which will never be breached again.EVER. I can never look at another girl the same way that i looked at you. Never will. Im sick of trying. This is where it stops. A heart of Stone - Cold and heartless. Ill live by it.

I kept the gifts in my closet for about a year now. If the past year was about you then this year is about me. In exactly that period of time to the future i will be on stage under those bright lights. Thats too short a time to be dwelling on past events. Its time to look forward. All eyes on the fucking gold. Be bold. Its time to claim the fucking gold. I want this more then anyone else and i'll walk the talk. Todays marks the day that I move on from all this anchors. Ill burn the pictures. Destroy the gifts. I'll break barriers. I said this once and i'll say it before. Its time for a revolution. Its time for change. Fuck mindless resolutions. All efforts as humanly as possible to achieve the impossible.

I failed too much today. Turning into a maddening rampage destroying everything at sight. Smashing the mirror at sight. Broke the chalkboard. Limped the shoe cupboard. Flung the vacuum cleaner. Im ashamed of myself. My sisters broke down watching helplessy as I broke down. I play a big part of this family and i failed to uphold that respect. I blame myself. I put too much at myself. Always aiming for A's. To be the best in this fucked up sport called bodybuilding. To be the nicest motherfucker one would ever known. To be humble. Looks like some things really got to go.

As much as this blog was all about, it is about overcoming obstacles to reach the point of purity. To preach immortality. Ill keep this blog up till the day i stop doing that. I am hydher. This is my journey. This is the day where my life is about me and me only. To the loyal followers hold on tight because this is going to be hell of a bumpy ride. Gear up and lets push against the restrains.

The time is now.

You dont know the meaning of dedication, commitment, hunger, sacrifice and disipline the way that i do. Those words define me. I've got too much potential left. There's no time to be pissing in the wind. If you say that we bodybuilders are a low-life egoistic vain freak who spent their whole life in the edge of chaos just for that one day to look good on stage then that it shall be. Im proud of that. A physical achievement.

Brothers' We are the makers of our destiny. The keepers of our faith. Lets let it stay that way.

Sometimes our world seems to be very structured and ordered and at other times it appears to be chaotic and unpredictable. If life were totally ordered everything would be the same and follow the same rules without any errors. It would leave no room for anything new to occur. If, on the other hand, everything were in total disorder and nothing could be predicted from one moment to the next, everything would be constantly new and nothing could have any sense of permanence.

Life, therefore could not exist in a totally ordered world or a totally chaotic world. Somehow we live in a world where there is a mix of both. There is enough structure that there is a sense of permanence and continuity in our lives. We can reasonably predict much of what will happen in our lives. We have a sense of personal identity that we can generally rely on to be substantially the same tomorrow and the next day. The patterns of the seasons and the heavens, the laws of physics, and even our own human laws give our lives enough structure and predictability to avoid becoming overwhelmed.

Also, there is enough diversity and unpredictability in life so that new and unknown things regularly appear in our world, things we can make use of to improve and grow. That unpredictability is generally not so large that we are overwhelmed by change. Life exists at a balance point between order and chaos.

Consider people running. They want to get to their goal as quickly as possible. Some runners will choose to be slow, careful and ordered in their running to make sure they do not fall over and perhaps not even finish the race. While the risk of total failure is low, they take too long to reach the goal. Some runners will put all their efforts into going as fast as possible, using all their energy, running in a more chaotic fashion. They will indeed advance more quickly, but the danger of falling and injuring themselves would be much increased. Neither approach is effective. Being too ordered takes too long, while being too chaotic is too dangerous. What is needed is the best balance point where the runner reaches the goal in a short time, but slow enough that the risk of injury is reduced enough, so that overall the runing is the most efficient that it can be. If it is too ordered it needs to become more chaotic, and if too chaotic, to become more ordered.

The most effective balance point, called the Edge of Chaos, turns out to be just before the runner lapses into chaos. The risk of falling into chaos and being injured is still real and catastrophes can and do occur in Edge of Chaos systems, but overall, it is the most effective place to be.

The Edge of Chaos is not a stable balance point like balancing a rod on its end so it stands on a table and will stay there until somebody shifts it. The balance point is a dynamic balance point more like a tightrope walker's balance point. The tightrope walker is stable on the rope, but must constantly work to maintain that stability. The runner similarly needs to slow down a bit when the terrain becomes steeper or more difficult to traverse and speed up when it becomes more even.

Also, the Edge of Chaos is more than just a balance point. It is a point of emergence. When the Edge of Chaos is reached, whole new behaviours can emerge that could not have been predicted before. There is a chemical example of the Edge of Chaos system called the Belousov - Zhabotinsky reaction where two chemicals are mixed and at the critical point of the Edge of Chaos, the whole mixture changes rhythmically from one colour to another. That change could not have been predicted just by looking at the original chemicals.

The Edge of Chaos. also, is found very often in nature; throughout ecosystems, in human dynamics, and in many other places in the world about us.

There is a great deal of debate as to whether natural systems automatically move towards the Edge of Chaos because of the assumption that is the most efficient place to be. While it is an appealing idea with a logic to it, in practice it has been hard to show. It is likely that in real life staying at the Edge of Chaos is just too stressful, and that instead, organisms move to the Edge of Chaos for short periods and receive a boost, but are not able to maintain that state, so then drop back until they have integrated the changes before once again approaching the Edge of Chaos.

Philosophical context. I believe that bodybuilders live their lives in the edge of chaos. Those left standing after a test of time are the emergence.

All the best to xuancheng in the upcoming competition! The time to step under the bright lights awaits you. Dont talk too early about it being your first and last competition. This Journey, its like the sea, you can see the beginning but never the end. I might not know you. I might not have seen what you've been through. But one things for sure.. You're a material of champion. I know it and you know it. Best of luck now.

Strength and honour.

Things are never straight forward. I keep getting things thrown my way. My gym phohibits too many things. No headphones while training. No pies at the free weight section. Cant use the weighted belt.No eating in its premises. What the fuck..

To roy and ray. If you're reading this i wish you all the best in the upcoming musclewar competition. You might think differently of me right now but that would be the least of my worries. There's too much to be done.I'm too far from being a satisfied person.

Im getting all excited over the upcoming competition. I've gotten my meals for the day all planned out. Got my wardrobe all planned out too. Oversized jersey with an oversized track pants. Im hoping that being there would fire up my workouts for months. Im learning as much as i can about precontest training and diet. My time to shine will come soon and i know it.

Lately, ive somehow lost interest in relationships. After the last one, I realised the sheer commitment and dedication needed to make it work.It scares me to the point i negate any motives. Nothing comes across a man and his dreams.

The saying goes that behind every successful man is a woman? Perhaps im not successful yet. But if i had to be someone it would be my mum. She makes sure i get ample protein in every meal. She makes sure my stocks are valid. That i control my spending. Damn she even gets me up and going for gym and cooks one or two meals in a day. What more could i ask?
The stage lights show them all. Show me what you've got.

Last night i brood over something. I felt that I wasnt moving forward fast enought. That something was somewhat missing. What the fuck was i thinking? A diet alone isnt enought to put into place the dramatic change that i needed. Fuck.. i was still doing cardio 4 times a week. Still Eating somehow fat depleted foods.

You wana know that fucking gameplan? Here's the fucking gameplan. Ill keep to cardio once a week. Ill substitute post workout cardio with a small bodypart. Ill have one of my rest days in between the week. Hell.. Ill change chicken with beef.

Yesterday i took a stride. I borrowed a weighted dip belt from myren. If i wanted to be big i have to think big right? heh. so i'll be a starting weighted pull ups and hopefully dips today.

I got this good quote from myren. If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got. Shit doesnt just happen. You make it happen.. Piss in the wind and expect some to fly in your face. Time to grab your dreams by its cojones and do what has to be done. Capiche?

One meal away from failure. In here you take the game into your own hands. What you do is directly involved in what you do. Sometimes, the one to beat isnt infront of you but within you. Mindless battles over time wears you out. You have to come back every time stronger and better to beat that motherfucker within. What does it takes to beat your inner self? It takes more then life. More than you.

I slap myself with cold water every morning. To send shivers down my spine when i could hardly stand up. Every thing starts falling apart in here. The bed, the chair and resolutions but never my stride. With my eyes half shut i get my meals for the day done the same old thing. Out from the old tuna can.

This battle is far from over.

Seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years of the never ending battle of body over mind. Fuck its pride over self.

Recently, i got steriotyped that all bodybuilders are proud. Fuck yeah we are. The shit we go through? Damn. We're better then who we are inside. We're overrunned in stride. Into our own world. At times do spare a thought for the skinny kid in your gym trying to gain weight or the chatty uncle at the bench press.

Brother's do more never less. Have no weaknesses. Be proud on every angle that you stand for. You represent yourself and no one else. Like wrath said, getting there defines you. But how you get there? shit, it refines you.

Trust me. I dont enjoy training legs as much as anyone do.

When you see that 2 bodybuilder battling out on stage and one wins reasoning he was better quads. One would say both were a hard fight but he won because he had better quads. But if you were 2 realise that sacrifise he had 2 make to build that superior quads. The reformation of workouts. The extra foods. Supplements. The sacrifises? Fuck. When you are on stage everything shows. Every rep you lift. Every second more of sleep and every meal that you missed. You show it all on stage. The stage light show's them all.

I bet all of you who are into this iron game have a status to uphold besides the iron game. Be it a husband. A student. A worker. Not one from 10 could take upon this iron game.

Since the day i stepped into this game, i knew what has to be done. It was more then just going up to the altar of weights on a daily basis. Fuck if going to the gym 5 times a week was all that it took, the gym would be bustling with great physiques up to date. How long will you stop ignoring it and to do what has to be done? Stop being mindlesss. Get a grip and do what has to be done.

Im sorry i got things randomed up. Cognitive thinking got my mind all stirred up.

I receive tons of request on my diet. So here it goes

630. A bowl of oatmeal and 5 egg whites + 1 cap of multivitamines.

930. 1 can of tuna and 3 slices of wholemeal bread

1130. Stirfried Vegetables and chicken breast

1.45. A fuji apple

400. Sweet patatoes and chicken breast

530. 3 scoops of gainfast + 3 caps of amino acids + 3 caps of pumptech + 1 cap of multivitamines

800. 3 scoops of whey protein + 3 caps of amino acids

845. Plain pasta with chicken breast

945. A bowl of oatmeal and 5 egg whites + 1 cap of multivitamines + 2 caps of Zma(zinc).

275g of protein a day.

Competition is in about a year time. Exactly a year from now i would be dieiting down and sipping on the liquid. Im not massing up as fast as i wanted to. Have a mark to reach at 95 by the mid year and 100 by the end. I feel the pressure from the expectations. Its only the second day of my get big quick routine and im getting petrified. Progress might be slow but surely.

The cost of redemption

As i speak i could hardly stand up without difficulty from yesterdays training. Did legs yesterday. Squatted 7 plates on the free bar. 12 on the smith and 8 on the hack. Increased a pie on every exercise. Did 4 sets per exercise for my calves from the normal 3 for about 10 plates on the last set for every exercise. Its coming. I can taste it.

Brothers. The time is approaching. Never let insecurities seep into your veins. There's no time for that. Do what has to be done when they have to be done. Fear not the consequence. The time to embrace is approaching. A new era has begun. Its time. Lets prove our stride.

Reformation

Been training in school for the past 2 days. Intensity down. Must be because of the change in environment and the unfamilliar positioning. Weights been maintaining great. So are the reps. Workout order partly reformed. Been asked to represent the school Sadly i turned them down. Resolutions stays as resolutions. 2008 is my year. Not later not earlier.

People here have respect. They dont come up talking to me during my sets or when i step into the gym. Had a friend(alvin) to introduce me to the gym equipments and the trainer there. Had travis to standby me during my heavy sets. It was hell great. Had alot of people coming up to me for tips during my post workout meal but that was fine. Sharing is fine =)

The dumbells were great there. Had them up to 50kg. I was like a kid in the candy shop man. Ive never seen such huge dumbells. I was so excited with rumours that they were untouched. I did a 47.5 for shrugs. 40 for presses and rows. Nothing great. 50's still untouched. Man.. it'll be something ill be missing when ill be back at kallang with 25kg dumbells!

Things changed when sheikh came though. He was big and mean. Loved the intensity in his training. He seemed rather frustrated though. Anyway, he taught me a couple of things like cutting down on vit c when cutting. He pointed out that my legs were lagging. Abs lacked density. Triceps was lagging. He told me to go for welter weight category. Appreciate the evaluation sheikh. He even taught me how to pose. Man the complications of the leg positions been's clarified already. Ill be following his footsteps. This man's a legend.

Ill be shopping for groceries with myren today. Getting some chicken breasts, sweet patatoes, vegetables maybe tuna and wholemeal bread to last me thru the week. Going gym with the monster too. Somehow with him around, im so motivated knowing that someone out there is training harder and dieting better then i am.

Next week will be the start of the bulking up season again. 95 at least i promise yall. Man alot of reformations to do. Bigger weights lower reps. Wish me the best!

Till then. Its time to grow! Tuna? Where art thou?

Some interview question that i was given. I felt that it was a great way for my fellow blog readers to know more of me.

- What interested you to take up body building seriously in the first place?
The will to futher improve myself. To push towards greater heights. Bodybuilding is a great character builder. It teaches you how to achieve something great with desire, hardwork and discipline which can be applied in all areas of life.

- Were there any obstacles you had to face?
Mainly, it was the process of gaining the understanding of my friends and family members. They did not understand why I did what I did or do what I do. The society viewed me as a freak. Ultimately, it boils down to how you see of yourself. No one has the right to judge you except you.

- Tell me what your daily diet is?
It comprises of mainly oatmeal, eggwhites, chicken breast, sweet patatoes, bananas, apples and beans.

- What is your fitness regime like?
Intense 1hr 15 minutes workouts. Full body workout once a week. Abwork 6 times a week and cardio 4 times a week

- Have you ever felt like giving up?
When the going gets tough and the stress of perfecting the routine can at times break you. Always give yourself ample time to adapt into your routine. Sometimes, small steps are better then no steps.

- How do you make yourself stay disciplined?
I made resolutions when I felt I was going off track and made sure that I achieve it with the time period that I have given myself.

- When do you train?
Monday to Saturday after school. On Sundays, I usually attend family events or go for a tan/swim.

- Is it tiring to train and to school at the same time?
Without doubt it can be taxing at times. Since life for me mainly revolves around training and school, I tend to work hard at both. Its either I learn to balance up or fail in both. We have to be good in whatever we do in order to succeed in the field.

- Is anyone against you body building?
At first my parent and friends viewed me as a self-centered and selfish person of outrageous vanity. Some however, learned to comprehend as soon as they saw my determination towards my goal.

- What is the reason you are training? (e.g. personal reasons, competitions)
It started to get fit. Then it was to impress. Then to let loose. Ultimately it is about self-respect. It is a never ending learning journey where there are always ways to further improve yourself.

- Who/What is your inspiration?
Those who push themselves to the limits in order to achieve. Not necessarily those in the bodybuilding field but scholars and other sportsmen.
